



While learning about Parashat Noach, we realized that there are "pairs" and "pears". Those two words sound the same but mean different things. One pair of nonkosher animals boarded the teva, while seven pairs of kosher animals were taken on. We practiced making pairs of animals in math groups. We painted pears like Cezanne, too! Many students made their own teva in the block corner. We also experimented with classroom objects to figure out what sinks or floats.
