The Hebrew calendar is lunar, so Gan Ilanot learned the phases of the moon for Rosh Chodesh. We enjoyed tefillah with the entire kindergarten and a special snack. We "created" the world with yummy foods like round rice crackers, "ocean" blue frosting, chocolate chip mountains, green shredded coconut which looked like grass, and animal crackers.
