Exciting Events in Gan Ilanot

We are very excited to share some of our upcoming events with you! Continuing with our unit on Hawaii, tomorrow we will be reading about Georgia O'Keefe who is famous for her works there. Then we will paint our own flowers in her style, to decorate our room (which already has several coconut trees and the Pacific Ocean with tropical fish).  The flowers will add the perfect touch for our Luau on Friday! Over the next few days, please take some time to look at the attached O'Keefe paintings, and ask your children to describe what they see.  It will greatly enhance the students' art experience.  On Friday, please send your children to school wearing a modest bathing suit under warm clothing, or other tzniut tropical attire (flowered shirts, grass skirts and leis).  Our President's Day chocolate sale is quickly approaching, as is Rosh Chodesh Adar and the 100th Day of School Celebration.   Dr. Seuss' birthday will be another all day fantastic event, followed closely by our Purim Carnival.  It's going to be an action packed month, and we can't wait to enjoy it with your children.  Hold on to your socks!
